Homemade Lotion
Instructions
  1. Put the bees wax in a double boiler or just use a glass bowl over a pan like I did. Turn the heat on and let the bees wax melt.
  2. Once the bee’s wax is melted add the coconut oil, extra virgin olive oil, and vitamin E oil, and let it all melt. It should look like this when it’s done.
  3. Pour the oil mixture into a food processor.
  4. Start the food processor, and let it run for 30 seconds or so.
  5. Pour the rose water or distilled water in. You will notice it turn a more opaque, creamy color almost immediately.
  6. Leave the food processor on and add all the essential oils. The ones listed are the ones I used this time, but you can play around with it and use the ones you prefer.
  7. You may need to scrape down the sides a couple of times. This is what it should look like when it’s done.
  8. Pour the lotion into glass jars. I should have used pretty jars, but this was the best I could do today…remember the four year old underwear protest…
Recipe Notes

*(1) Here’s the bee’s wax I used for this recipe.
*(2) This is the vitamin E oil I used.
*(3) If I’m making this for someone who loves the scent of rose I use rose water.  But I’m not a huge fan of rose, so I usually just use distilled water.
